To feel the touch of nature, Ooty is a right spot for the lovers of nature. It is located at a distance of 155 km away from Mysore. It sparkles with fresh vegetation and sceneries. Ooty Botanical Gardens

Ooty botanical garden is one of the best tourist attraction places which attract the tourist from all over the world. OOty Lake

An artificial but very scenic Lakeview had been framed by throwing a Dam across the narrow outlet of the valley. This lake famously known as "Ooty Boat House". At the Ooty Lake view, a Boat house is being maintained by the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation to assist the tourist and others to hire rowboats, peddle boats or motor boats. Horse rides near the ooty lakeview for Children is the major attraction. Another attraction for the Children is the Mini Train.

OOty Doddabetta

Rose Garden

Rose Park is situated in the heart of Ooty town. This garden has been beautifully laid out in terraces with rose tunnels, pergolas and bowers with rose creepers. Today this garden has the largest collections of roses in the country, around 3000 roses varieties of roses like Hybrid Tea Roses, miniature rose, Floribunda, Ramblers, roses of unusual colours like black, green and many more varieties of roses that will captivate your senses.

Pykara Lake & Water Falls

The Pykara is the largest river in the Nilgiris District. It passes through hilly tract, generally keeping to North and turns to West after reaching the Plateau's edge. It gets down majestically in a series of cascades and the last two falls of 55 meters and 61 meters are known as Pykara falls. A wonderful boat house is maintained at Pykara Dam by the TTDC. Boating on the Pykara lake is enjoyable. Variety of Boats and a restaurant is also available. Wenlock Downs, a vast Expanse of grassy meadow on way to Pykara, is a favorite picnic location

Avalanche lake

Avalanche is a riot of shola trees, rhododendrons, orchids, magnolias and a trout stream: absolutely lovely. Avalanche Dam & Lake is located at a distance of 25 km from ooty. A place that should not be missed. A dam called Canada dam since Canada funded it. An exotic experience of mountain trekking could be realized in this place. Also there is a Trout Farm near Avalanche Dam which is the only place in India where Trout fish grows.

Western Catchment

This Beautiful and eye-catching place consisting of meadows down the valley. The depression a point of this valley is fully occupied by grasses offering a green carpet as a symbol of country’s Green Revolution. A Nice hunt for cameras.

Kalhatti Falls

Kalhatti Falls is about 13 Kms from Ooty on Sigur Ghat Road. This is a beautiful picnic spot where the height of the falls is about 122 feet. Nevertheless, the falls is connected by a motorable road. It is ideal for persons fond of Hiking, Bird Watching and Trekking.

Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park

The Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary is located where the Nilgiri Hills, the offshoot of the Western Ghats meet the Eastern Ghats. The Mysore - Ooty highway runs through the sanctuary, following the course of the Mayyar River, which separates Mudumalai from Bandipur.

Mukurthi National Park

Mukurthi Peak is about 40 km from Ooty. The Mukurthi National park is located on the South Eastern corner of the Nilgiris plateau. The area contains a viable population of Nilfiti Thar (Hamitragus hilocrius). The Silent Valley is located on the Western side of these ranges.
